Tychy Aquapark

Mostostal Warszawa S.A. signed a contract with Regionalne Centrum Gospodarki Wodno-Ściekowej SA for the construction of the Water Park in Tychy. The contract value is PLN 114,611,400,00. The complex was ready in April 2018.

The Aquapark in Tychy is built at Sikorskiego Street near Ośrodek Wypoczynkowy Paprocany (Paprocany holiday resort) and is one of the most modern ones in Europe. The Aquapark hosts a complex of swimming pools with a moving bottom, a fitness zone, a gym and wellness, two storeys of recreation space, unique water slides, an internal sauna zone, a surfing simulator and something Poland has never seen before – an Aqualoop slide, a special capsule with opening floor, where you can slide at 3xG speed – three times faster than gravity.

As the Aquapark is located in a city famous for its beer production, there is also a beer bath. After heating the body in the sauna, there is an option to take a 20-minute bath in a tub filled with water mixed with beer and relax at a bed covered by... hay. In addition to the pool, recreation and sports areas, there is a unique educational centre showing the properties of water. The usable area of the complex is 16,000 m2 of which 1,700 m² is the surface of the pools (400 m² are outdoor pools).

The Tychy Aquapark is also be the first of its kind in Poland as it is be self-sufficient energetically. To produce electricity and heat at the Aquapark, biogas formed in the Sewage Treatment Plant in Tychy is used. Experts have calculated that this power supply option can save several million PLN per year.
